Moffat House Hotel in Dumfriesshire, Scotland has come to market through Savills, on behalf of a private vendor. Offers are invited over £1.25m.
The 21-bedroom, country mansion hotel is set in two acres (8.4 hectares) of grounds in the spa town of Moffat. It benefits from excellent road connections, lying one mile off the A74(M) which is the main link to Scotland to the north and England to the south.
The elegant country mansion was originally built for the 2nd Earl of Hopetoun in the 1790s. The house comprises a main block with two wings that was transformed into a hotel in 1950, which of late has proven to be a successful wedding and event venue. The sale of Moffat House Hotel includes a two bedroom cottage located on site.

The purchaser will be required to comply with the relevant TUPE legislation in respect of present employees.
