16 Hospitality acquires Warrington pub by | Caterlyst - https://www.caterlyst.com/16 Hospitality has announced its latest acquisition of a prime site, south of Warrington on the Tarporley Road, ideally located just off the M56 in Stretton.
The news comes hot on the heels of the firm’s acquisition at the end of August of The White Eagle in Rhoscolyn and The Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr on the island of Anglesey.
The new site, formally known as The Hollow Tree, will also be joining 16 Hospitality’s Cheshire sites, The Swan in Tarporley and The Crown at Goostrey, marking the second phase of this company’s growth strategy.
The site will be undergoing a complete transformation, from a full refurbishment, new food and drinks offering and even a brand new name to reflect 16 Hospitality’s simple yet effective ethos; to offer quality British food, served by a friendly team of hospitality experts in comfortable surroundings.
Edward Barlow, Managing Director, said, “We are thrilled to have secured this site as it has so much potential to do really well. It’s in an enviable location with lots to do and see on the doorstep, and we are going to be putting building plans and a full refurbishment into fruition, including en-suite guest rooms.
‘We are sure there will be a positive reaction to our plans from visitors and locals alike, as our research has showed that there is demand for a quality Inn with real ale, fresh, unpretentious yet quality food and comfortable accommodation.
“The refurbishment plans are extensive, and we’re hoping to open mid-2017. The vision I have for the site is to follow the winning formula that’s ensured the success at our other four sites. We want the pub to become a firm favourite with the locals and visitors, known for its great food, served by great people in a relaxed, comfortable setting.”
This ambitious company aims to be one of the leading independent hospitality operations in North Wales and the North West of England and will be announcing further expansion plans in the near future.
Barlow expanded, ‘We’ve had our best quarter yet with our pubs in Anglesey up 8.9% like for like on 2015 despite increased competition this year. 16 Hospitality in total is 5.4% ahead like for like and broke a record £1m sales during the seven-week summer break. We’re looking to capitalise on the current success we’re achieving in Cheshire and Anglesey and continue to expand our hospitality business across the North West of England and Wales.’
Since acquiring their fifth site this month, the team at 16 Hospitality has grown to over 160. With a pipeline of potential acquisitions in the North West of England and Wales already pinpointed, the management is feeling positive about their plans for an exciting period of growth.
