£20m DoubleTree Hilton development changes hands by | Caterlyst - https://www.caterlyst.com/Lincolnshire-based hospitality development firm, Brayford Hotels has acquired the £20m DoubleTree Hilton hotel project in Hull from Lexington Avenue Leisure.
The 165-bed hotel due to be built in Ferensway in the city centre is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2017, creating 100 jobs. It will include a banqueting suite for up to 1,000 people.
Brayford Hotels has appointed Manorcrest Construction to oversee the development of the site, with building work expected to start later this month.
The firm has also appointed Leaf Hospitality to oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel when it opens. It will be the third hotel project the three companies have worked on after the Holiday Inn Express in Grimsby and the Double Tree by Hilton in Lincoln.
