£6m Premier Inn set to open at major Cheltenham development

The £6m Premier Inn at The Brewery Quarter extension in Cheltenham is set to open later this month. The first 73 bedrooms will be completed for the opening, with the remaining 31 bedrooms scheduled to be finished in December.

With occupancy levels for Premier Inn’s first site in Cheltenham at over 80%, The Brewery Quarter was selected as the ideal location to further grow the brand.

Stuart Rose, Acquisitions Manager for Premier Inn said: ‘We are excited to open our doors to customers this autumn, and are pleased with the progress made on site so far. Work will now get underway to fit out the hotel to our high quality standards ready to start welcoming our first guests in September.

‘Ahead of the peak Christmas season, this will bring greater customer choice to Cheltenham and support our established sister hotel within the town. The Brewery Quarter is an unrivalled location in Cheltenham, and as well as attracting new visitors to the area, the new hotel will also bring around 38 new year-round jobs.’

Set for completion in Spring 2017, the £30m extension has signed up Loungers’ brand Cosy Club, and SOHO Coffee co.

The Brewery Quarter is already a highly successful leisure scheme being home to a mix of restaurants, bars and entertainment including an 11 screen Cineworld IMAX, Prezzo, Nando’s, Hollywood Bowl, Fitness First platinum club, luxury Screening Rooms and the latest addition; microbrewery and pub Brewhouse & Kitchen.
