LACA Awards for Excellence 2018 open for nominations

Nominations are now open for the lead Association for Catering in Education’s (LACA) annual Awards for Excellence.

A total of 11 awards will be handed out this year, including a new category for 2018, the LACA Apprentice/Trainee Award.

LACA chair, Tim Blowers, said, “This new award will go to an individual who has successfully carried out a recognised training course or programme and who demonstrates the impact this has had and how the learning has been successfully implemented in the workplace.”

Other awards on offer include ‘Catering Business of the Year’, won last year by Hertfordshire Catering Limited, and ‘Primary School Team of the Year’, which Toner Avenue school in South Tyneside took home in 2017.

Winners will be revealed on Thursday 12 July at a gala dinner which forms part of the annual LACA Main Event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Entries close on Friday 27 April 2018.
