Pizza Express trials sharing dishes

The Pizza Express chain is trialling sharing dishes in over 30 of its restaurants as part of a menu extension exercise, which may lead to a roll out across its portfolio.

So as well as ordering their favourite pizzas, diners can now share small dishes that are in the spirit of Italian pizzerias.

The company is naming this the ‘Piattini’ trial, which quite simply means ‘small plate; in Italian.

Pizza Express currently operates over 470 restaurants across the UK and 100 overseas in Europe, and its kitchens serve up more than 21 million pizzas a year.
