Staffordshire Moorlands District Council planning committee approved plans to build the development at the former Moneystone Quarry site in Whiston.
It is estimated that 230 construction jobs would be created and then 250 full time equivalent operational jobs would be created on completion of the park.
The proposals by Laver Leisure includes 250 holiday lodges along with a hub building which would include an indoor swimming pool, restaurant, bowling alley, spa, gymnasium, cinema room, cafe, children’s play area, shop, climbing area, reception area and a climbing wall.
The plans also include a second café by a lake; a visitor centre with farm shop; an archery centre; equipped play area; a woodland activity area; a multi-sport area; water sports centre; car parking for staff and visitors; and the creation of footpaths and cycleways.
