Savona acquires Ilfracombe Wholesale to expand its customer base

Savona Provisions has announced the aquisition of fellow Country Range member lfracombe Wholesale Grocers (IWG),

Savona Provisions, which trades as Savona Fine Foods, operates across the South of England and the Midlands from its head office in Kidlington. Ifracombe was founded by Mike Watson in 1972 and employs 60 staff and services a wide customer base across the South West.

Mike Watson, who will remain with the company, said: ‘I am delighted to announce the sale of IWG to Savona Fine Foods, a company I have known for many years and who have a great reputation.

‘I’m confident that IWG will continue to go from strength to strength under its new ownership and that the employees will all benefit, a factor that was very important to me when considering the sale.’
