KP Snacks to acquire Butterkist

KP Snacks has agreed a deal to acquire Butterkist Limited, that makes the UK’s best-selling brand of popcorn, from Tangerine Confectionery, for an undisclosed sum.

KP Snacks, which is owned by Germany’s Intersnack Group, will take over Butterkist’s manufacturing site in Pontefract, West Yorkshire and keep on its 140 employees.
