Cake Box sees six-month revenue soar by 44% driven by 15 new sites

East London-based franchise, Cake Box Holdings, trading as Eggfree Cake Box has posted increasing sales and profits for the six months to to the end of September, as it rolls out more outlets.

Revenue rose by 44% to £8.3m, driven by a record 15 store openings. Like-for-like sales increased by 4.4%, while online sales rose 86% to £1.99m.

Founded and owned by cousins Sukh Chamdal and Pardip Dass, the company launched in 2008 and now has 101 franchised sites across the UK. Cake Box went public last year and aims to grow to 250 sites in the coming years.
