Hog & Hedge opens second roadside site with more planned

Cafe roadside services brand, Hog & Hedge, backed by Appropriated Investment, has secured a second site in Northbrook Street in Newbury through Savills, ahead of further expansion.

Hog & Hedge has agreed a new 10-year lease on a 2,418 sq ft (224 sq m) store at 21 Northbrook Street. The roadside cafe operator opened its first premises at Whiddon Down Services, Devon in 2014, providing quality barista coffee and homemade food.

The new site is the brand’s first in-town store as part of a wider expansion into the south of England. Located next to Marks & Spencer, the store is in the heart of the prosperous market town with nearby occupiers including John Lewis, Tesco and Superdry.

The fresh food kitchen sources the best of West Country produce and freshly prepares healthy, quality food for all the family. All of the food is freshly made on site each day.

The brand offers a classic selection of sandwiches, salads, wraps and toasties, as well as hearty one-pot dishes and chunky soups.

There are handcrafted coffees – with only the best beans sourced and roasted – organic Fairtrade tea, hot chocolate, and cold drinks.

Hog & Hedge outlets offer children play areas, free wifi and dogs are welcomed.

Hog & Hedge, advised by David England of Ashwell Rogers, is seeking other similar locations in comparable towns and cities in the south of England.
