Restauranteur, Andrey Datsenko and his sister Anastasia have revealed plans to open a new Japanese restaurant and cocktail bar called Taka in London’s Shepherd Market in Mayfair.
The duo, who also own a restaurant by the same name in Tokyo, will take inspiration from the original Taka and will provide a Japanese dining experience.
Taka will be located across two floor, with a 28-cover restaurant on the ground floor and a cocktail bar on the lower ground.
The menu will feature Japanese dishes including tataki, tempura, sashimi platters and yaktori, all of which will be made by Chef’s who have been fully trained in Tokyo.
Andrey said, “I’m so excited about this new venture, and the stunning listed Shepherd Market in Mayfair is the perfect place for Taka to call home.’
‘Japanese food and drink have always been particular favorites and I’m looking forward to taking it to the next level”.
The restaurant is expected to open in September.
