Jimini’s launches first UK insect high protein pasta

Jimini’s, the premium edible insect brand, has just launched a new high protein pasta – the first to market in the UK.

The Jimini’s range, made using ground Buffalo Worm flour, includes high protein Conchiglie Rigata and Basil Fusili pastas, available for purchase on the brand’d website at £5.20 per 200g packet.

The Jimini’s Buffalo worm pasta contains 18% protein, making it a great alternative source of protein whilst working to reduce everyday meat consumption. It is also high in fibre, contains vitamin B12 and is rich in iron, with eight times more iron than your average pasta.

Each serving of Jimini’s insect pasta perfectly substitutes a portion of meat due to its exceptionally high protein content with 18.7g of protein per 100g.

Jimini’s pasta can supplement the diet, providing an additional portion of protein. Best utilised as part of a pre or post workout meal, this pasta is aimed at those with an active lifestyle. Incorporating Jimini’s high protein pasta with vegetables results in a healthy and balanced meal.

Jimini’s high protein Buffalo worm pasta will be joining the existing range of edible insects, including: naturally flavoured crickets, grasshoppers and mealworms, sold as appetizers and protein bars made using cricket flour.
