Moy Park expands with veggie range as meat-free demand grows

Moy Park Foodservice, which is known for its poultry dishes, has launched a new ethnic-style vegetarian range, as the number of UK customers looking for meat-free options continues to grow.

The products include Indian-inspired Hara Bhara Bites (pictured), Sicilian-style Tomato & Mozzarella Arancini balls, and Texan BBQ Cheese Bites.

Frannie Santos-Mawdsley, senior customer marketing manager, European Foodservice, commented, “The ethnic market offers operators a huge untapped opportunity but getting it right is a challenge.

“Indian and Asian cuisine still dominate the category but have had to make room for a wave of new styles – heavily influenced by street food – including, Tex-Mex, as well as more authentic takes on the ever popular Mediterranean.’

Moy Park suggests the range can be served standalone as light bites, on platters or as part of a main meal. They are supplied frozen, so caterers can tap into this trend with minimum effort.
