Southern Spice, a popular Indian restaurant in the heart of the coastal market town of Hythe in Kent has been brought to the market through Christie & Co, for an asking price of £79,950 for the leasehold.

The prominent two-storey venue comprises a trading space for 60 covers over three areas, a bar and waiting area with booth seating, basement cellar, commercial kitchen and an external seating area for 20 covers.

Offering modern Indian cuisines, the restaurant supports local suppliers and sources seasonal ingredient from selected farmers within the region.

The site offers seven bedrooms, a kitchen and a shared bathroom on the first floor, which are currently rented out on a room by room basis.

Ramesh and Harrie have owned Southern Spice for four years and comment, “We have enjoyed our time here and are very proud of the business we have built up from scratch, but we now feel it is time to move on and doing something new.”
