Catering company Searcys have announced their new contract with Exbury Gardens, Hampshire.

Searcys was founded in 1847 by John Searcy, the pastry chef to the Duke of Northumberland and continues to have an enduring tradition of high quality catering for events and restaurants. With their extensive experience in contract catering Searcys plan to transform the Exbury Gardens food outlets by relaunching them with a new look and presenting new seasonal British menus.

The relaunch is scheduled to start from next month and will begin with the Mr Eddy’s Tea Rooms cafe. Searcys plans for the food venue are to relaunch it with a more modernized look, expand the events area and also change the menu to showcase the wonderful seasonal, British and locally-sourced produce.

As quoted by The Cost Sector Catering website, the menu would serve dishes such as: “a trio of Cumberland sausages; baked salmon with sauce vierge, dill and garlic potato cake and vegetables; and a vegetarian option of bean, lentil, Mediterranean vegetables topped with feta cheese.”

Furthermore Searcys are also planning to source as many as possible local produce for their dishes, to eliminate all plastic straws from the venues and to also minimise the amount of disposable packaging.
