Swansea City fans welcome pub reopening after refurb

Chef's Office, Create, Inspire, Connect

A favourite pub of Swansea City supporters has reopened following an extensive refurbishment.

The Coopers Arms, a stone’s throw from the Liberty Stadium in Landore, was closed for six weeks for renovation work by owners SA Brain and Co.

It now boasts a modern kitchen with a new food menu and a carvery will be served every Wednesday and Sunday.

There are several new television screens to show live sport and upstairs there is a large function room kitted-out with large screens and a projector, making it a great venue for hosting celebration parties and business meetings.

Adrian Cox and his partner Jen Jones, previously the tenants at the Greenfield in Llanelli for three years were appointed as the new tenants at the beginning of July and will run the Coopers with support from Brains.

Rob Cobb, Business Development Manager at Brains, said, “It’s been great to be able to transform the Coopers Arms into the pub it should be for the community it serves.

“Being so close to the Liberty Stadium the pub always attracted a great crowd for match days but only offered pub goers a drink and a packet of crisps in a very tired, dated environment.

“The fully refurbished pub now boasts a brand new catering kitchen to serve a fantastic selection of meals in modern comfortable surroundings which I am sure all the customers will enjoy. I wish Jen and Adrian our tenant partners the very best in their new venture.”
