108 Garage crowned Tatlers Restaurant of the Year

At a glittering ceremony held last night in the Ballroom at The Savoy, 108 Garage was named Tatler’s Restaurant of the Year.

Crowning a remarkable 12 months for the west London favourite, the award was accepted from Jeremy Wayne, Tatler’s Restaurant Editor, by 108 Garage’s owners Luca Longobardi (pictured right) and Chris Denney.

Longobardi said, “These awards are hugely prestigious and we couldn’t be more delighted to receive this accolade. It’s a fantastic testament to all the hard work
that the whole team has put in over the last year.”

108 Garage was opened last autumn by Longobardi, a former Wall Street financier who once found himself on Interpol’s most wanted list as part of a crackdown on international banks, and Denney, a chef whose CV reads like an A-Z of Michelin starred locations.

In a matter of months they succeeded in turning an abandoned garage into one of London’s most acclaimed restaurants, with the media hailing Denney as ‘the kind of chef who comes along only once or twice in a decade’.

A year after it opened, 108 Garage is now fully booked for dinner months in advance; even Heston Blumenthal is a fan, describing it as ‘a breath of fresh air’.

Denney and Longobardi have now cemented their reputation with the launch of a second restaurant in Notting Hill, Southam Street.
