£375k Devonshire pub changes hands

The Lymington Arms in Wembworthy, Devon, has been sold through Stonesmith off an asking price of £375k.

The country pub, with origins believed to date back to around 1800, has been extended over the years to provide large trade areas and spacious family sized owners accommodation, with potential for guest bedrooms.

Sitting in 0.6 acre of land, the freehouse pub retains much of the original charm and character and offers a bar and dining area with 40 covers, separate 50-cover restaurant.

The Lymington Arms is located at Lama Cross on the outskirts of the rural country village of Wembworthy and is around 2 miles from the large village of Winkleigh and Eggesford Station, which provides a train service to Exeter and Barnstaple.

Jennie Peel had owned and ran the pub for over 18 years. The new owners, Bob and Kate Morris look forward to immersing themselves in country life and welcoming customers old and new.
