Appetite Direct becomes approved supplier for National Museum of Scotland

Award-winning event caterer Appetite Direct has been selected to join the newly updated list of approved suppliers at the National Museum of Scotland for 2017 to 2020.

Arguably the most spectacular event space in Edinburgh, National Museums Scotland offers a collection of beautiful venues to suit every occasion. From intimate dinners to conferences and presentations, to elegant celebrations in the Grand Gallery with its soaring glass atrium and sweeping staircases; a breath-taking backdrop for up to 1,500 guests ensuring an unforgettable event.

The announcement comes at a time of continued growth for the company as they see turnover rise significantly heading towards another record year with strong growth.

In 2014, the company set out to double turnover within 5 years. However, with turnover projected to reach in excess of £1.4million in sales for 2017/18, Appetite Direct is set to double turnover in this year alone.

A few months ago, Appetite Direct launched an Employee Profit Share allowing all permanent (full and part-time) staff the opportunity to benefit from a share of 40% net profit (retaining 60% for reinvestment) at the end of the financial year. The new scheme has let to increased staff morale, staff retention, opportunity for new staff recruitment and of course, for increased sales.

Three new jobs have been created in the past year, taking staff numbers to 14 full-time and 30 part-time staff. The company is looking forward to another record year with strong growth and continued developments for expansion.

During the last twelve months Appetite Direct has achieved Best Caterer at the 2016 Scottish Event Awards and the 2016 UK Event Awards – for the third consecutive year – and picked up the award for Events Team of the Year at the 2016 Scottish Events Awards. They also received the Event Supplier Excellence Award at the inaugural Eventit E-Awards in March this year.
