Leading facilities management provider, EMCOR UK has been awarded a three-year contract by water utilities company, Severn Trent, to provide total facilities management services across, around 450 sites, including office and operational facilities.

This is the third water utilities company contract awarded to EMCOR UK in the last three years; the industrial sector has increasingly been recognising EMCOR UK for facilities management expertise across geographically widespread and technically complex property estates.

EMCOR UK will be responsible for providing all of Severn Trent’s UK sites total facilities management, including mechanical and electrical maintenance, and manned guarding. Additional scope of work includes waste disposal, cleaning, reception services, totally refreshed catering, and a new flexible payment system.

The firm will also use innovative, market leading processes and technology tools to enable accurate capture, analysis and presentation of data on workforce, asset, and operational performance. Benefits include support in making more informed and data-led decisions, more efficient use of resources, and support future asset investment decisions.

EMCOR UK’s commitment to implementing a progressive approach to health and safety was important to Severn Trent, which is looking for safety and health to be consistently applied across its entire UK estate. Recently, EMCOR UK received eight top safety awards from two of the UK’s most prestigious safety organisations, RoSPA and the British Safety Council, recognising EMCOR UK for its significant focus on health and safety management.

EMCOR UK’s CEO, Keith Chanter said, “EMCOR UK is confident that our knowledge of the water industry will help us deliver high quality services to Severn Trent in a highly regulated environment where compliance is of the utmost importance. We also believe our experience in this demanding industry will enable us to rapidly identify operational synergies that will bring significant benefits to the customer.”

Philip Blyth, property operations lead, Severn Trent, said, “We were pleased to offer EMCOR UK a three year contract to perform total facilities management at all of Severn Trent’s UK sites. Key to the award was the ability of EMCOR UK to provide operational resilience, value for money, regulatory compliance and a commitment to collaboration, whilst putting Health, Safety and Wellbeing at the heart of what we do.”
