Kew Green celebrates one year of successful partnership with HK CTS

One year on since HK CTS Metropark Hotels Co Ltd purchased Kew Green Hotels Ltd, Kew Green reflects on the first year of their partnership and the expansion into the Chinese market place.

The purchase, which provided a platform for HK CTS to channel its outbound Chinese tourist demand alongside financially aiding Kew Green’s ambitious growth strategy, has proved fruitful for both businesses since the agreement was struck in August 2015. In November 2016, HK CTS Hotels Co Ltd launched the first Kew Green branded hotel in Wanchai, Hong Kong, marking the group’s expansion into the Chinese market place. The hotel is the first of a number of Kew Green branded hotels which will be rolled out in China over the coming year.

In their mission to draw on the expertise of both companies, Kew Green Hotels and HK CTS have hosted a cultural exchange program for GMs from the two nations. The program has provided training and best practice workshops to help the two hotel giants create the ultimate hospitality experience for their guests spanning the two continents.

The Chinese properties, which will offer a taste of British hospitality to visitors from around the world under the Kew Green name, have been supported by members of the Kew Green team in the UK to bring guests an authentic experience.

In addition, Kew Green will be bringing a taste of the Far East to the UK via a new concept restaurant in Liverpool, the city with the highest Chinese population in the UK outside of London. A brand new Chinese restaurant is due to be opened at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool – John Lennon Airport Hotel in the city. The new restaurant, the third in Kew Green’s concept restaurant roll out, will be run by a Chinese chef who will be recruited by the HKCTS team in China and will offer guests an authentic taste of the region.
