Martello Hall sister cafe-bar to open this month

From the people behind Martello Hall, a huge all-day cafe-bar is opening in Brixton on 23 September.

Offering free wi-fi, bottomless coffee and opening for breakfast onwards, the 4,500 sq ft Canova Hall will be sure to draw in independent workers. By night, it will morph into a cocktail bar with DJs.

Pancakes, pastries and egg dishes feature for breakfast, followed by a range of 48-hour sourdough pizzas, cooked in a special pizza oven imported from Modena, for lunch and dinner.

There will also be a selection of freshly made pasta plates including a tagliatelle with stracciatella, pink peppercorns and gremolata, and a smoky scamorza-cheese pasta with rosemary.

Like the sister site, a bottomless brunch will be available through the weekend from 11am.

With a cocktail list that features many a gin drink, a cocktail trolley will be available to serve up these delights when guests ‘Book a Bartender’.
