Mitchells & Butlers has been named ‘Foodservice Operator of the Year’ at the British Poultry Awards for the fourth year running.
This year, the awards showcased all British Poultry for the first time and are recognised within the industry for showcasing the very best British turkey, chicken and duck products on the market today.
There are a total of 13 categories, including retail and foodservice sectors, which celebrate the latest in innovation and convenience in both all year round ranges and Christmas.
Keith Edwards, Head of Procurement, Mitchells & Butlers, said, ‘We are thrilled to once again receive the title of Food Service Operator. We faced tough competition in the category, however M&B were victorious due to our long term support of the industry and in recognition of the quality, and provenance of the poultry products we source.’
The award judges acknowledged the outstanding support Toby Carvery gives to the British turkey industry by promoting and selling turkey 52 weeks of the year, not just at Christmas.
