New tea room opens in Dorchester

Brewery Square in Dorchester has just welcomed another new business, following the opening of Curiositea, a brand new family-run tea room, offering a modern twist on a vintage classic.

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, said, ‘This business is a wonderful addition to the eateries at the Square. Independent business has brought a new life to Pope Street and compliments existing businesses such as Morrish & Banham Wine Merchant and Tasting Rooms.

‘The two complement one another and help to complete this side of the development. We look forward to working with the team at Curiositea.’

Curiositea serves breakfast and lunch with over 18 varieties of tea, hot beverages and delicious homemade cakes. Visitors can book for ‘High Tea’ any day of the week and a takeaway service is also available.

Carly Hoddinott, owner of Curiositea, commented, ‘We have been overwhelmed with the response and well-wishers in and around Brewery Square. The support from everyone in this short space of time has been amazing. We look forward to welcoming new and old faces for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.’

The new tea room is open Monday to Saturday from 9am until 5.30pm and Sundays 10am until 4pm.

The food and beverage offering at Brewery Square includes Zizzi, Carluccio’s, Wagamama, and Morrish & Banham Wine Merchant and Tasting Room.
