Shackfuyu set to launch all-day Boozy Monday Brunch

From this coming Monday 20 March, Shackfuyu will launch London’s first all-day Boozy Monday Brunch menu, at its famed Soho restaurant.

The new bottomless brunch menu will give diners the chance to kick start the working week in serious style and enjoy a three-course Japanese-inspired feast, with free-flowing prosecco and pineapple sake, available from 12 noon right through to 10pm (last booking 8pm), every Monday.

Priced at £35 per person, guests will choose two small dishes from a tasty selection including ‘Katsu Sando Iberico Pluma with homemade tonkatsu sauce and ‘Chicken tsukune with ponzu & quail egg’, as well as one large dish such as ‘Grilled salmon fillet with yuzu miso’ or ‘Iberico pork pluma with spring onion & black pepper miso’.

Diners will also enjoy unlimited prosecco and pineapple sake on tap throughout their Monday brunch feast, topped off for dessert with Shackfuyu’s iconic ‘Kinako French toast with soft serve matcha ice-cream’ – why would you spend your Mondays anywhere else?

The new Boozy Monday Brunch follows the success of Shackfuyu’s much-loved Sunday Brunch, which has seen queues of hungry diners forming every weekend on Old Compton Street, since its launch last year.

Following a hugely successful Soho pop-up, Shackfuyu became a permanent addition to Old Compton Street at the end of 2015.

The fourth restaurant in Australian-born Ross Shonhan’s restaurant collection, who opened the first Bone Daddies in 2012 folowed by Flesh & Buns in Covent Garden in 2013, after he fell in love with Japanese food during his time as head chef of Nobu Dallas.

Shonhan’s aim has always been to provide authentic Japanese food with a London twist. Something he has achieved through his restaurants’ punky interiors and stand-out retro rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack – Shonhan stipulates that all music played at his restaurants must be at least 20 years old.
