Signature Living buys Liverpool shopping centre & plans luxury hotel

Hotel and aparthotel group, Signature Living has acquired the Cavern Walks boutique shopping centre in Liverpool, and plans to develop a new luxury hotel there, creating 150 jobs.

Cavern Walks was established 30 years ago, and the majority of the 80,000 square foot site is made up of office space, with the exception of ten retail units, and has been empty for over a decade.

Signature Living plans to see the ground floor filled with restaurants and other attractions – alongside the existing shops.

Cavern Walks is Signature Living’s 20th acquisition in Liverpool, giving them a total of 1.5m square feet of space – which the company says equates to an overall investment of £285m in the city.
