Stix & Stones to open second restaurant at Belfast hotel

Belfast-based Stix & Stones is to open its second restaurant in the city at the Balmoral Hotel next month, creating 15 new jobs.

The 42-bedroom hotel is collaborating with the restaurant, which is owned by Daniel and Martin Courtney (pictured), to bring a new dining experience to west Belfast, with bookings already received ahead of the launch next month.

The brand offers a menu of carefully selected local steak and seafood, and a unique ‘stone experience’ where diners can cook the produce on hot stones at their own table.

Stix & Stones won the Hospitality Sector Award at the thirteenth annual ‘Belfast Business top 50’ 2016, and was awarded the TripAdvisor 2016 Certificate of Excellence award.
