Two Michelin star Hong Kong restaurant to launch in UK this autumn

Chef's Office, Create, Inspire, Connect

Hong Kong-based Duddell’s restaurant is to launch its first UK site this autumn, in the former St Thomas Church in London Bridge.

The site was, until recently, offices for the property developer Cathedral Group. It will see a complete revamp which is being overseen by Michaelis Boyd – the designers behind Soho Farmhouse and the Groucho Club.

The menu will serve up authentic Cantonese cuisine and hand-made dim sum. Heading up the kitchen will be Daren Liew, who was formerly executive sous chef at the Hakkasan group.

There will feature a separate wine bar, with a list of old and new world wines alongside craft cocktails with an Asian twist. It will also offer a mezzanine level for a semi-private dining space.

The Hong Kong brand says it is ‘a cultural and social destination for people who have an active appreciation for the arts’. It will be bringing its art programme to Duddell’s London, which will host art exhibitions and events.
